Orlando, Florida - Hyatt Regency Grand Cyprus Resort |
| |
- streettalkblog.com - Hyatt will begin a total renovation of its 25-year-old Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in October of this year, spending $65 million on the project. In conjunction with the hotel renovation are plans for a new 100-unit Hyatt Grand Vacation Club development next to the hotel. The new timeshare resort will share the hotel’s amenities.
Because the timeshare building is still in the planning stages, little information about its details is available at this time
The renovation is expected to last through December 2009.
The Grand Cypress will remain open during the renovations, closing one wing at a time for construction.

NOTES ON THE PHOTOS: Photo #3 is a view of the rear of the Hyatt with the ski lift building off to the right; Photo #4 shows the fireplace on each balcony (with Gumby and Pokey figures at the railings); Photo #9 is an overall view of the front of the building; Photo, #10 is the facade design and detail; Photo #11 appears to be the entry/check-in (the lower level design and detailing at the base is a little clumsy); and Photo #14 gives the proximity relationship of the Hyatt and the ski lift (ideal for skiers!).
